- **Role Overview:**
- As the founding Head of Business Development for APAC, you will architect our commercial engine from the ground up. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the transition from shared commercial responsibility to a dedicated, high-performance function. This is a "player-coach" role where you will design the regional go-to-market strategy while personally leading the hunt for net-new enterprise logos across the region.
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- **Establish the APAC Commercial Playbook:** Design, document, and implement a repeatable enterprise sales motion for the region, establishing the foundation for scalable commercial operations.
- **Lead Enterprise Business Development:** Personally source, engage, and close high-value deals with data center operators, colos, and large enterprises with significant regional footprints.
- **Drive Regional Strategy:** Own the growth strategy for key markets (including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Thailand), identifying and navigating complex, long-cycle technical deals.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:** Act as a strategic partner to C-suite executives and technical heads (CTOs, COOs), articulating the ROI and environmental impact of AI-powered infrastructure optimization.
- **Build and Manage the Team:** Oversee the existing team while identifying opportunities to scale the commercial function as the regional pipeline expands.
- **Requirements:**
- **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
- Demonstrated success as an "enterprise hunter," with a proven track record of closing net-new deals with an Average Contract Value (ACV) in the SGD 150k–500k range.
- Extensive commercial experience across the APAC region, with deep knowledge of the business landscape in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
- A "builder mindset" with experience establishing or significantly scaling a sales function in a startup or new business unit.
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to lead value-driven conversations around AI, digital twins, or industrial infrastructure independently.
- Demonstrated commercial seniority and gravitas to lead regional strategy and influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to travel regionally (approximately 20–30%) to engage with clients and partners.
- **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
- An established network within the data center, power, or industrial AI sectors.
- Prior experience in B2B technology or deep-tech software environments.
- Experience managing and scaling high-performance sales teams.
