Job Description

**Location: Singapore**

**Company Overview:**
Red Dot Analytics (RDA) is a pioneering enterprise software tech startup, spun out of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) research. We are at the forefront of building next-generation AI-driven solutions for data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. Our flagship platform, DCVerse, leverages cognitive digital twin technology to enable operators to optimize energy efficiency, improve uptime, and manage complexity through intelligent automation. Backed by IMDA accreditation, recognized VCs, and strong partnerships with industry leaders like Singtel/Nxera, Eaton, and Iron Mountain, we are rapidly scaling our impact across APAC and beyond. We foster a culture of deep technical rigor, experimentation, and measurable impact, driven by a mission to enable sustainable and energy-efficient operations for the digital future.

**Role Overview:**
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Data Center Domain Expert to join our team as a senior individual contributor. This critical role acts as the bridge between deep industry knowledge and RDA's cutting-edge AI/software product development, ensuring our solutions are precisely aligned with real-world operational needs. You will be instrumental in enhancing our product's relevance, ensuring its credibility with clients, and directly contributing to our mission of achieving significant energy efficiency and PUE reduction in data centers. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly shape our product, support our customers, and represent RDA's innovation within the industry.

**How You'll Make an Impact:**

* **Shape Product & Engineering with Industry Expertise:** Serve as the primary subject matter expert on the full data center lifecycle, from site selection and design to construction, operations, and maintenance. Proactively advise product and engineering teams on operational constraints, compliance requirements, and best practices in cooling, power management, and energy efficiency. Translate complex operational needs into clear product features, use cases, and solution blueprints. Actively participate in solution testing, validation, and performance evaluation, contributing directly wherever your technical expertise is needed.
* **Drive Customer Engagement as a Technical Authority:** Act as a trusted advisor to customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of their operational challenges and providing hands-on support. Support sales and business development teams by providing technical authority during customer meetings, presentations, and proposals. Build strong, proactive relationships with data center operators, facility managers, and engineering teams, and provide vital feedback loops from customer deployments to enhance product relevance and usability.
* **Represent RDA's Innovation in the Industry:** Represent RDA at key industry events, conferences, and technical workshops, actively engaging with peers and presenting company innovations. Develop and share whitepapers, case studies, and technical guides showcasing best practices and innovation in data center management and PUE reduction.

**What You'll Bring to the Team:**

* **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
* Demonstrated extensive, hands-on expertise (typically 10+ years) in the full data center lifecycle, encompassing operations, engineering, or design across colocation, enterprise, or hyperscale environments. This includes deep practical knowledge of cooling, power management, capacity planning, and compliance (e.g., Uptime Institute standards, ASHRAE guidelines).
* A highly proactive and hands-on approach, with a readiness to dive into technical validation, troubleshooting, and direct contribution within a dynamic, early-stage startup environment.
* Proven track record and a passion for significantly improving energy efficiency and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) in data centers, while also ensuring reliability and operational resilience.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively bridge complex technical concepts and strategic discussions with both internal teams and external executive-level clients.
* Eligible to work in Singapore.
* **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
* Experience collaborating with software/AI teams or familiarity with digital twin, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), or AI optimization systems.
* Possession of relevant industry certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, Uptime ATS/CTS, or equivalent.

**What We Offer:**

* **Foundational Impact & High-Growth Environment:** This is a true 0-to-1 opportunity to bridge deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge AI/software product development, directly contributing to our high-impact mission of tackling critical sustainability challenges in the rapidly growing data center sector.
* **Hands-on Contribution & Diverse Challenges:** You will be expected to be actively involved across various functions, offering diverse challenges and significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.
* **Career Advancement:** Clear pathways to evolve into Principal Engineer or Product Manager roles, alongside the inherent growth of a critical domain expert function within a scaling startup.
* **World-Class Leadership & Backing:** Join an IMDA-accredited company backed by recognized VCs, founded by a renowned professor (Prof. Yonggang Wen), and partnering with industry giants, offering a stable and innovative environment.
* **Competitive Compensation:** We offer a competitive base salary, discretionary performance-based bonuses, and an opportunity for equity, to be discussed after joining and demonstrating strong performance.
