- **Role Overview:**
As our first dedicated Data Center Domain Expert, you will play a foundational and highly influential role, bridging the gap between deep data center operational realities and our advanced AI-driven product development. You will be the internal voice of the data center industry, directly shaping our product roadmap and accelerating our market growth by providing unparalleled technical authority and operational insights to both our product and sales teams. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned expert to define and mature a critical function from the ground up within a rapidly growing deep-tech startup.
- **How You'll Make an Impact:**
* **Drive Product Feature Alignment:** Act as the primary subject matter expert, identifying critical operational problems within data centers that RDA's software can solve. Translate these operational needs and industry best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE) into precise, actionable product features, use cases, and solution blueprints for our product and engineering teams. Provide crucial feedback loops from customer deployments and industry trends to continuously enhance product relevance and usability.
* **Accelerate Sales & Strengthen Customer Trust:** Serve as a trusted technical advisor during customer engagements, demonstrating profound understanding of their operational challenges and articulating how RDA's solutions address them. Support sales and business development teams with expert insights for meetings, presentations, proposals, and solution demonstrations, fostering strong relationships with data center operators, facility managers, and engineering teams.
* **Internal & External Industry Representation:** Elevate RDA's credibility and thought leadership by representing the company at prominent industry events, conferences, and technical workshops. Contribute to the development of whitepapers, case studies, and technical guides that showcase RDA's expertise and innovation in data center management.
- **What You'll Bring to the Team:**
* **Minimum/Core Requirements:**
* **Deep & Hands-on Data Center Operations Expertise:** Extensive and verifiable hands-on experience in data center operations, engineering, or design across various segments (e.g., colocation, enterprise, hyperscale). You are a true subject matter expert in the practical realities of the data center lifecycle, capable of detailing specific improvements in efficiency or reliability you have personally led.
* **Strong Understanding of Industry Standards & Best Practices:** Proven knowledge and practical application of key data center industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices, such as Uptime Institute standards or ASHRAE guidelines.
* **Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:** Demonstrated ability to effectively bridge the gap between deep technical knowledge and diverse internal and external stakeholders, from engineers to C-level executives.
* Based in Singapore and able to work effectively in a hybrid model.
* Proficiency in Business Mandarin is required to facilitate effective collaboration with our product and engineering teams based in China.
* **Preferred/Bonus Requirements:**
* **Experience with Software/AI Solutions:** Familiarity or direct experience collaborating with software/AI teams to develop or implement operational tools, analytics platforms, Digital Twins, CFD simulations, or AI-based optimization systems (e.g., DCIM, BMS).
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, Uptime Institute ATS/CTS).
