**Role Overview**:
Join our dynamic Algorithm Engineering team as a Senior Algorithm Engineer specializing in Computer Vision. This is a newly created role pivotal to enhancing the performance and expanding the global reach of ADVANCE.AI's core identity verification products. You will drive the advancement of our cutting-edge algorithms, from rigorous analysis and innovative development to full-lifecycle deployment, ensuring market-leading performance and broader demographic coverage across diverse global markets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct, project-level impact within a highly technical and collaborative environment.

**Job Scope / What You'll Do**:
* **Optimize Core Algorithm Performance**: Drive significant enhancements to the accuracy and robustness of our core identity verification algorithms, including Generalized Liveness Detection, Face Detection, and Face Identity Check, to elevate eKYC product performance. This involves deep analysis of model metrics, debugging and refining Python code (TensorFlow/PyTorch), and conducting iterative training on large image and video datasets.
* **Enable Global Market Expansion**: Lead the successful adaptation and specialization of algorithms for new and diverse demographics and markets. You will curate diverse datasets, develop custom algorithmic adjustments for regional nuances, and benchmark our solutions against competitor performance to ensure we deliver best-in-class, cost-competitive solutions globally.
* **Manage Full-Lifecycle Development**: Take ownership of the complete algorithm development and deployment lifecycle. You will write clean, efficient Python code for new features, collaborate seamlessly with Software Engineers for integration into production systems on AWS, participate in code reviews, and proactively monitor deployed models for performance degradation, implementing rapid fixes as needed.
* **Collaborate & Innovate**: Engage proactively in team discussions, share progress, and address technical challenges. You will collaborate with Product Managers to translate product requirements into technical specifications and liaise with Data Scientists to ensure optimal data quality and availability for model training.

**Initial 3-6 Month Focus**:
Your immediate impact will be on significantly improving the performance of existing Computer Vision projects within Generalized Liveness Detection, Face Detection, and Face Identity Check. You'll be hands-on with understanding and abstracting data, analyzing models for performance gaps, and training models to deliver measurable enhancements to our core identity verification products.

**Requirements / Who You Are**:

**Minimum/Core Requirements**:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Relevant experience demonstrating seniority:
* 2-3 years for PhD holders.
* 3-4 years for Master's holders.
* 5-6 years for Bachelor's holders.
* Proficiency in Python programming for algorithm development.
* Strong experience with machine learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch (TensorFlow experience is also highly valued).
* Deep knowledge and practical experience in Computer Vision (CV), including relevant algorithms and techniques.
* Proven ability to analyze model performance, identify gaps, and conduct iterative model training and fine-tuning for improved precision and accuracy.
* Experience with the full lifecycle of algorithm development and deployment, including seamless integration into production systems.
* Demonstrable experience working with unstructured data, particularly large datasets of images and videos.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
* Ability to work fully onsite at our Singapore Manulife Tower office.

**Preferred/Bonus Requirements**:
* A Master's or PhD degree in a relevant technical field.
* Strong data analytics skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
* Demonstrable experience working on machine learning or computer vision models through significant academic projects or impactful side projects (especially if professional deployment experience is limited).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
* Experience or strong understanding of fraud detection/prevention systems related to identity verification.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a technical, open, and iterative environment with direct team members and cross-functional colleagues (Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists).
* Ability to understand business scenarios and translate them into precise technical requirements for algorithm development.
* Strong "data sense" to evaluate model performance effectively within the context of business objectives.
* Capacity to research and identify optimal algorithms for new product features and market expansion.
* Knowledge of Linux systems for problem-solving.
